Building a caring city: amplifying voices of homeless people and other citizens

How do we create cities that are more inclusive? As a citymaker, Floortje works at the intersection of policy and practice, greening public spaces with neighbors, hosting community dinners, and initiating small-scale experiments that make neighborhoods more livable.

In this session, she will not only share her journey as a citymaker, but also highlight her recent book 'Here I Am at Home', created in a participatory process together with six people experiencing homelessness. The book tells stories that go beyond the stigma, stories about talents, dreams, and resilience, as well as the multiple and often complex reasons why someone can become homeless.
